Notes on Willis and Mary, found via google searches:

1) Willis and Mary lived in Ohio for awhile. They are listed on the 1850 Census for Scott Co, District #1, KY. They moved to Kirksville, Mo, then later to a farm in Barry Co., near Pierce City, MO Family rumor has it that Willis had 14 brothers and 1 sister. His father and an uncle supposedly came from England.

2) The Chandler’s I am looking for are descended from Willis Albert Chandler, who was born in NC around 1798. Don’t know anything about his parents, or siblings. Family legend says there are 14 brothers and 1 sister, but I’ve found NOTHING! All I know is that he was born in NC. Much of the later family was raised in MO and OK, to where they eventualy had relocated.

3) I have been told that Willis had 13 or 14 brothers and 1 sister. Willis’ father came from England. Willis hung himself in the barn on their farm in Barry Co., Missouri. The farm was not too far from Jolly Mill where people around there had their corn and flour ground. ~ by Karen Joan Chandler
